Some of our customers have told us they are restricted on the amount of sodium they are allowed in their diet. Even though our gourmet sea salts are not as high in sodium as processed salt, they are definitely salt and therefore contain a high percentage of sodium.
Now we have a solution… Samphire Salt!
This plant-based salt is made from the marsh samphire, a vegetable that grows by the sea. You’ve probably seen it before if you’ve spent time on the coast as it happily grows on shore in the dunes. If bamboo and asparagus had a child it would look just like Marsh Samphire. In our case, we get ours from an organic farmer on the coast of California.
This unique, vibrant green vegetable loves sea water and therefore, tastes salty! It’s a salty and savory, nutrient-rich superfood.
